Ohimemì ( OHIMEMI ) - musica Zenegalese - da Genova a Dakkar.
Ohimemi nasce a Genova (Italia) nel 2006 dall'incontro di NioSiddharta -del gruppo hip-hop Zero Plastica-, Dudu -del gruppo senegalese Jant-Bi- ed Emiliano "E.M.I." -del gruppo elettronico Jamadda Experience-. Così si fondono le sonorità popolari della musica africana con quella della scuola genovese dei Grandi. Nel mortaio si pestano i campioni tribali con il reggae, l'hip-hop, l'Rnb, il dub, condendo con liriche wollof, francesi, italiane, inglesi. *** ENGLISH - The project Ohimemi was born in Genova in 2006 from the friendship between NioSiddharta -of the local hip-hop group Zero Plastica-, Dudu -from the Senegalese rap group Jant-Bi- and Emiliano "E.M.I." -of the electro group Jamadda Experience-. Popular African sounds are mixed with the Old School of musicians of Genoa (with samples from great singers like De Andr.., Lauzi, Paoli, New Trolls, Baccini, Tenco, Bindi, Parodi, i Trilli...). Reggae music, hip-hop, Rnb and dub are melt with tribal stuff, with Wollof, French, Italian and English Lyrics. *** FRENCAIS - Le projet Ohimemi est n.. a Genes en 2006 a travers 3 artist: NioSiddharta -du groupe hip-hop group Zero Plastica-, Dudu -du rap group Senegalais Jant-Bi- et Emiliano "E.M.I." -du groupe electro Jamadda Experience-. Bobby Soul - PHUNK-MAN.
Già cantante solista di quella che la giornalista Alba Solaro (Kataweb) ha definito la migliore FunkBand italiana - i Blindosbarra - ma anche promotore e iniziatore di gruppi come Sensasciou (miscella di reggae, dub, soul e speciale canto polifonico genovese - trallallero - in dialetto genovese, Premio Tenco 1997) e membro del quintetto acappella delle Voci Atroci (visionarie bizzarre armonizzazioni sotto la guida dell'attore/musicista Andrea Ceccon). Già nei negozi il primo album solista, "DraghiRossi & Buchineri".

Dagli anni '80, primo punk di Genova; dagli anni '90, primo rapper di Genova, primo ad aver scritto in italiano ed tra i primi a mischiare raggamuffin e diletto genovese. Agitatore di innumerevoli situazioni, conosciuto in Italia e in Europa con Sensasciou la miscela genovese di infiniti ritmi e trallallero, creatore di eventi soprattutto di poesia, ora ubiquo membro delle notti in città.

IL GENERALE & THE ONE DROP BAND.
Coming from the hills of Florence, Italy, IL GENERALE is one of the historical personas of the Italian reggae scene. He was indeed one of the very first to release reagge and ragamuffin songs in Italian language in the late Eighties (his 1989 single, Non è un Miraggio Roberto Baggio/San Marco Skanking was the first 7 single singed in Italian). He became very popular in the early 90ies thanks to his own records (the albums Stupefacente and Guarda la Luna e Non il Dito printed by Wide Records respectively in 1990 and 1992), and after some crucial combinations (Raggasoldati with Jaka, Pupilla with Tax, the latter a former member of the harcore punk band Negazione). He also participated then to collective projects (as Lega la Lega of Torino Posse) and gigs all around the country.
IL GENERALE is actually still active both as singer and as reggae journalist. In this latter figure he writes about reggae and global hip hop for two Italian magaziens called Superfly and Basement: He is interested on listening reggae and hiphop bands from all over the world, so please contact him here: ilgenerale2000@hotmail.com
As musician he is actually working with Toni Moretto and the One Drop Band and a new album will be avalaible at the end of 2006.
The One Drop Band is a backing band which collects some of the best musicians of the Tuscany area: Toni Moretto himself (vocals and guitar), Daddy Wally (drums), Irie V (bass) and Ludus Pinski (keyboards and electronics) The show of Il Generale, Toni and 1db consists in a powerful selection of roots and dancehall tunes.
